I work in both watercolor and oil paints. I love the quickness and fluidity of watercolor and the smell and boldness of oil.

I began teaching art classes on the Coastside in 2000. During the pandemic, I taught watercolor classes by email and zoom. I teach a Watercolor Wednesday class at Senior Coastsiders at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesdays.

I was born and raised in Yerington, NV, where I was able to take many art classes. During the decade in which I earned a degree in biochemistry and a teaching credential and then taught high school chemistry, I yearned to spend more time painting. With the encouragement of my husband, I began to study watercolors with Evelyn Wright, Zolta

With the encouragement of my husband, I began to study watercolors with Evelyn Wright, Zoltan Szabo, and Jeanne Carbonetti, and oils with Jim Wilcox.
